Compassion to Action

A community engagement project that converts the compassion created by art into active involvement in the community.

On September 21st, join us for a screening of the film Us & Them at the Roxy Theatre (320 20 St W, Saskatoon) at 7pm. Filmmaker Krista Loughton will be in attendance to discuss her film that follows her personal experience with four chronically homeless individuals. Admission is free. We will be accepting donations to offset costs.

Following the film, there will be the exciting announcement of the launch of Compassion to Action, an exciting community engagement piece that converts art into involvement. Ten Individuals/Groups will commit to volunteer for an organization that eases or works to prevent Homelessness. Their journeys will be recorded and shared at the performances of Persephone Theatre's Home is a Beautiful Word in April 2018, inspiring more individuals to turn their compassion into action.
