The Hockey Sweater

Sweater & Sports Equipment Drive

Do you have any old sweaters, winter jackets or sports equipment that you don't use anymore?

In an effort to help those that have less than we do, we’ll be collecting clothes and equipment that you're wanting to pass on to someone who could use them.

Pass them off to our team when you arrive for the show!

The Hockey Sweater / Le Chandail

Co-produced with La Troupe du Jour

***Due to the extreme temperatures the past two weekends, we are pleased to announce the shows in Regina will take place this weekend on February 20th & 21st. See you at the rink!***

Sum Theatre and La Troupe du Jour are proud to present The Hockey Sweater / Le Chandail, a musical and bilingual adaptation of Roch Carrier’s beloved short story, Le Chandail. The Hockey Sweater tells the story of a child who wishes for a new Montreal Canadiens hockey sweater, but receives instead something he could never have imagined. This re-telling of a Canadian classic, now performed on an outdoor rink,  embodies the hope that any child with a stick and a puck can become Maurice “Le Rocket” Richard.

We acknowledge these performances happen with the special permission from House of Anansi Press and Stanké.  (Cette production est montée avec l’autorisation spéciale de House of Anansi Press et Stanké.)

We are pleased to also have ASL interpretation of all shows presented by Difference Interpreters!
