The Nutana Winterlude Festival, organized by the Nutana Community Association and Sum Theatre, is returning for a second year!
The magic happens in Victoria School December 8th, 9th, and 10th between 5pm and 8:30pm each night.
The festival is a 3-day event providing free wintertime activities to the Nutana Community - and Saskatoon at large - with a focus on families. The centerpiece of the festival will be Theatre on the Rink, an original, musical adaptation of the classic Canadian children's story The Hockey Sweater (performances at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm). The festival will also feature sleigh rides, fire spinning by Hula-Hoopster and guests, outdoor games, crafts by Children's Discovery Museum on the Saskatchewan, traditional Indigenous Dancing by Oskayak High School(Friday night only), and free hot chocolate and coffee throughout the festival (graciously donated by Calories and Starbucks respectively).

Nutana Winterludes is part of our residency, funded by the Saskatchewan Arts Board, during which we will create and present new programming in the Nutana Community. Other projects include Gramma Drama - a free drama class for kids and seniors, and Playwright in a Shop - real time playwriting in Broadway Avenue storefronts.
